The lesson that technocrats took from the horrors of the second world war was that nationalism was the cause of it. They subsequently spent the next six decades dismantling nations, and removing their capacity to operate independently in the belief that our forced interdependence would make war a thing of the past. That, fundamentally, was the logic behind the European Coal and Steel Community - the proto-EU.&nbsp;But in muting national democracy they grew ever more remote, aloof, and hubristic, imposing elite liberal values on the people's of Europe without their consent, to the extent of abolishing national borders, and liberalising trade to the extent of deindustrialising whole swathes of Europe.&nbsp;They believed that by destroying the nation state we would become a greater European community and we would be content to live as economic units under a faceless corporate identity, counter to all we know about human instinct, just so long as we have convenient travel and cheap consumables.&nbsp;<h3>The consequence is a Europe of sclerotic, over-regulated economies, with national governments that no longer respond to democratic inputs, as elites flush the remnants of their industries down the toilet in the name of saving the planet - on the instructions of a hysterical teenager and a cult with an agenda rooted in world domination by misdirection.&nbsp;</h3>Further doubling down on neoliberal ideology, ruling elites turned to the spreadsheet sociopaths in the "expert class" to solve labour shortages by importing millions of low skill, low IQ third worlders, transforming the homelands of Europe into post-industrial flophouses.Not content with dismantling the democratic nations of Europe, they turned their hubristic eye eastward with a view to expanding the neoliberal empire, against all warnings, and now we see a return to war in Europe.The rising populism and "far right" is the inevitable consequence of dismantling European democracies. It is the vow to "take back control" from a feral elite which has long outstayed its welcome.Today we mark D-Day as the beginning of Europe's liberation from imperialist tyrants, but soon we'll have to do it all over again; to reclaim Europe from the very people who believed national democracy was the enemy, and that technocratic dictatorship was the solution.&nbsp;Only this time, the battles won't be between opposing armies. There will be no landing craft or air assaults. The battles will be between the peoples of Europe and their tyrannical elites, who will use every measure at their disposal to clamp down on our freedoms just to stay in power.Ultimately, the vote was the means of bloodless revolution, but in rendering our votes meaningless, they've paved the war for the next major European conflict, which may yet consume us all in fire.Ironically, we go to the polls on the Fourth of July, known to the Americans as Independence Day, but there is no Independence Day for us, or even a D-Day. No matter how we vote, the regime still wins. Thus, we are on a countdown to unavoidable conflict.<h3>The regime knows this. Every European political establishment knows it is living on borrowed time. </h3>This is why they're ramping up the war rhetoric with Russia. Only if they can manufacture an external enemy can they cling on to power. It works every time, and we keep falling for it. Don't let them do it again. They spit on your democracy, your identity, and your nation, then expect you to die for them while they replace you by the back door.&nbsp;As they line up on this day in remembrance of the fallen at Normandy, mouthing the platitudes of freedom and democracy, they dishonour the dead and speak with forked tongue. They've co-opted remembrance as an opportunity to gaslight us - remembering the invasion of eighty years ago, while turning their backs, and closing their eyes to the modern day Channel invasion - with a sly glint in their eyes. <h3>Every invader that lands at Dover further weakens our identity and devalues our votes. And that's exactly how they want it. You must learn to hate the elites as much as they hate you.</h3><h3>&nbsp; </h3>

The latest offering is LawFare - which exposes the utterly subverted UK justice system. Is the UK now a banana monarchy?

What makes elections fun for a blogger is that your best analysis of the facts can be completely scrubbed off the board in twenty-four hours. And then a day later, it all changes again. Predictions are unwise yet we keep making them. Events are certainly keeping things interesting.&nbsp;Farage being back in the game certainly upends any narratives about Reform and I’m having to recalibrate some of my thinking. I had written them off, but it’s worth gaming some of the possibilities.&nbsp;As I understand it, the Clacton MP, Giles Watling, is a hugely popular MP in the constituency and has a massive majority. To come from nowhere and take him down is a massive task in its own right. Neither the Lib-Dems nor Labour have much of a following, so basically Farage has to hope that he can carve out what's left of Watling's vote after subtracting the stay-at-home vote. Clacton is winnable for Farage this time.&nbsp;His presence also changes the arithmetic for Reform. In normal circumstances, Reform would still be looking at zero seats, but if the Tories do nothing to recalibrate their offer to the public, the levels of Tory voter absenteeism could gift a handful of seats to Reform.&nbsp;These are unusual circumstances where Farage hasn't particularly enhanced his appeal, rather Rishi Sunak has done everything possible to make his party unelectable. That will be the curious tale of this election - in that most MPs, especially on the Labour benches, owe their jobs to apathy rather than an explicit mandate.&nbsp;In these circumstances, Farage could very easily eclipse the Tory party as he becomes the focal point of hate from the new influx of young Labour wokelings and Islamists. In these conditions, they're not going to make it a very pleasant environment, Farage. I expect they will ringfence him the way they did Galloway, while the Tory leadership will be keen to keep him at arm's length. They will attempt to bog Farage down in parliamentary disciplinary procedures, at which point he becomes even more of an anti-establishment, anti-politics figurehead.I suspect, then, with the left being as unhinged as it is, that Farage will have to double up on personal security. The establishment within parliament will make it abundantly clear that they see him as an interloper, and hold him morally accountable for any violence at Tommy Robinson demonstrations - the same as they tried to pin the murder of Jo Cox on Brexiteers.&nbsp;The reason for this is that his presence will force them to have debates they would rather not have. That will be interesting because the Tory wets will have to work out where they stand, lest they be passive spectators making an irrelevance of themselves. As such, Farage will be the de facto leader of the right in parliament.&nbsp;Meanwhile, the presence of newly elected Islamists will make this the most fractious parliament we have ever seen. They will seek to paint Farage as "far right" and the Tories will probably throw him under the bus. They're not going to let Farage capitalise on his election, and you can expect the media to paint him as the new Nick Griffin. Both the Tories and Labour will bombard Clacton with a view to unseating Farage in 2029. I think we will see a combined establishment effort to keep Reform from making further gains, and it will expose the whole system in its full rotten glory.&nbsp;For some time now I've been saying the Westminster establishment is entering its final chapter, but it's going to be a fight to the death. The 2029 election will see every dirty trick in the book, meanwhile political Islam will continue to rise in power and influence, reinforced by continued immigration, possibly eclipsing Reform. From here on, politics is going to take a dark and dangerous turn.On that score, public debate will drift far to the right of Farage. He could very easily alienate his own supporters by being too soft on immigration. He has already disowned Reform’s policy of offshore detention, and is sticking to Richard Tice’s Net Zero immigration policy. His position isn’t realistic enough for opinion formers, but too soft for hardliners. Farage is such a bundle of contradictions that he could self-destruct within a week.Ironically, Farage does not enjoy the support of the “far right” on this. Farage is willing to push the boundaries but will only go so far. Not far enough according to some. It’s just not his natural inclination.&nbsp;The point people miss about Farage is that he did not come to politics campaigning on immigration. Ukip from inception was a Brexit party, and we did NOT talk about immigration, and we had a zero tolerance policy on BNP members joining. If anyone raised immigration at party conference, they would very rapidly change the subject because Farage was adamant that Eurosceptics must not be labelled racist. In that respect, we were a politically correct party.&nbsp;What changed was when the BNP scored a million votes at the 2009 euro elections. As soon as Farage recognised there were MEP seats up for grabs in the north as BNP was disintegrating, he changed Ukip policy overnight and banged on about immigration.He subsequently conflated EU freedom of movement with open borders, which is why so many people believe the Brexit referendum was an immigration referendum. It wasn't. It was always specifically to do with leaving the EU and immigration was the issue to get it over the line.&nbsp;Ever since, Farage has been out of his depth because he never felt strongly on the issue one way or the other. He’s one who operates on autopilot, and if he's talking about immigration, the specific immigration topic is a best guess... and obviously he picks on the small boats and Muslims because it's topical. He spouts whatever the last person he spoke to about it said to him. Ultimately, he will stay within the safety margin of acceptability, and he will always stop short of anything radical unless public sentiment gets there before him. He trails public opinion. He does not lead it.<h3>The question on my mind is whether Farage will step up to the plate when it comes to confronting the rise of political Islam. He went to considerable lengths to distance himself from Ukip when the party sought to become the vehicle for anti-Islam sentiment. It may be that even in his current incarnation, he’s too politically correct and timid for the job.&nbsp;</h3>This matters because we're seeing history repeat. In 2019 Farage blathered about a "points based immigration system" instead of advancing a comprehensive and detailed immigration proposal that examined all the threads of it. The Tories then created their own interpretation. Fast-forward to now and Reform is bleating about "Net Zero immigration", which the Tories will then endorse as the populist approved benchmark policy, and then we're still importing 600,000 people a year and back at square one.Ultimately, policy must address itself to the problems, and this is no longer just a case of managing the influx. We have a very real problem with garbage immigration that isn't needed or wanted, and contributes nothing. Populism doesn't work in Britain. Conservatism does. Moreover, National Conservatism is the right answer. Populism offers nothing but empty slogans and false hope, white conservatism is innate to the British psyche. It's who we are. There is no point trying to reinvent the wheel. We are all agreed that "one nation" wet Toryism is not conservatism. We are not social democrats. We are not liberal internationalists. We believe in the nation state, the rule of law, free enterprise, individual liberty, and the family as the basis of thriving community.But specifically, we are not free market liberals nor free trade fanatics either. National conservatism recognises the necessity to defend Britain's strategic industrial interests, and that a diverse economy, able to arm and feed itself, is paramount to Britain's resilience and national defence. &nbsp;As such, we reject the hyper-liberal ideas of the ERG, IEA and ASI. The conservatism of today must be relevant to our times. It cannot and must not be reheated Thatcherism. Thatcher was the antidote to past-war socialism. Modern conservatism must address itself to correcting the evils of neoliberalism - the dispersal of power to post-democratic constructs, open borders, and deindustrialisation - recognising that post-Brexit, post-globalisation Britain exists in a multipolar world that can no longer rely on the US defence umbrella, nor can it continue to open its borders to trade with its enemies.The conservatism of today must recognise the growing threats to national democracy from within. Specifically, the lawfare of globalist ideologues and the rise of political Islam, which is colonising urban politics. As a conservative we reject racial bigotry, but are sworn to defend Britain as a culturally Christian homeland, for that is the only foundation for Britain's continued existence as a functioning society where all are equal under the law. We reject the dogmas of multiculturalism and cultural relativism.This is the basis upon which the next iteration of conservatism must build. I have no preference for what happens at the coming election. The Tory party will rightly be punished for its betrayal of conservatism, but it won't be wiped out. It will continue to exist as the primary opposition, as an institution of our dysfunctional duopoly. We may wish it were some other way, but we have to deal with the world as we find it and use the tools at our disposal.&nbsp;The scale of the task is awesome, but it can and will be done, because it can be no other way. The tide is going out on the globalists and neoliberals. This is their final chapter. We must be ready with ideas for the time when their regime falls. The work to ensure the primacy of those ideas begins now.

What the voters want...

Not only is the corpse of the Conservative Party still warm and twitching, the death certificate has yet to be signed, but the rush to redesign its replacement is well under way.&nbsp; Is there any possibility that the parrot is merely resting, and not properly de-perched and dead? In five weeks time, the Conservative Party will no longer be the party of government. That leaves conservatives with a very big mountain to climb - and it’s not going to be easy.The first obstacle will be the Conservative Party itself. A party that no longer has a functioning definition of conservatism. A party whose most influential figures will fight tooth and nail to prevent it from becoming a conservative party. The people who believe the Tories are losing because they’re too right wing.&nbsp;Retaking the party is not going to be easy, and there’s going to be considerable competition. Even in its badly degraded state, the Tory brand is still valuable political property. From what I gather, Sunak has been busy stuffing key posts with wets from the Tory aristocracy, and they’re absolutely anticipating an entryist takeover attempt.My feeling is that the right of the parliamentary party will be the minority faction after the election, and is likely to favour Penny Mordaunt or one of the other “wets” as leader. Some believe this will be catastrophic for the cause. I don’t think so. I don’t think it matters in the interim. The Tory party will be defined by what it has to oppose from the Labour government, and even the wettest Tory will understand there is no path back to power without acknowledging the demand for dramatically lower immigration.&nbsp;<h3>Moreover, we are stepping into a new political zeitgeist. That “multipolar world” beckons and the delusions of pre-2016 era liberal internationalists will not withstand first contact with reality. External influences are more likely to shape the tone of British politics, and the Tory party in particular. There is backlash coming over Net Zero for starters, and mad Ed Miliband’s green energy plans will hit the rocks in no time at all. Furthermore, there is still no popular enthusiasm for the EV transition. This is all low hanging fruit for any opposition.&nbsp;</h3>We also have an asset in the struggle to revive conservative social values. The Labour Party. The party is not coming to power because there is any real enthusiasm for left wing ideas. It is set to inherit power because Tory voters are going to stay at home. There has been no swing to the left and Starmer’s approval ratings (which aren’t riding high to begin with) will soon plummet. His own party will be a fractious coalition of woksters and race-agitators, who will do a great deal to revive social conservatism in the voting public.&nbsp;As much as anything, the market has spoken. The penny has dropped for the business world that going woke means going broke, and they’re getting the message that the public doesn’t like having political messages rammed down their throats. The tide has turned. The last people to catch on, of course, will be woke Labour politicians, who will end up looking like <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroo_Onoda" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-mce-href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroo_Onoda">Hiroo Onoda</a>The point here, is that a Tory loss enables a recalibration of politics as a whole, where Labour will find that doubling down on the policies of the status quo does not revive the nation’s fortunes. It then gives the Tory party permission to break from its present day dogmas. As such, the party will be fertile ground for a conservative takeover.Supposing Labour wins by a large majority, my feeling is that any new Tory leader will have a Herculean task to overturn it, and will fail. It’s actually better for us if the liberal wets lose in 2029, because that precipitates a fresh leadership contest. We have five years to popularise real conservatism, and five further years to make it electable.To that end, we have work to do. Entryism alone is not going to work, and deselecting Tory wets may prove difficult with the institutional backing they have. But all the same, they are still answerable and can be influenced if the local membership is all singing from the same hymn sheet. That’s where we have to put in the work.&nbsp;As I’ve mentioned a lot lately, all the alternative parties exist because there is no genuine conservative party. It’s displacement activity. Frustrated activists have been led up the garden path by populists who simply aren’t going to achieve anything. Much the same can be said about street level protests. What we need to do is build a conservative activist network.I recently joined an organisation called New Culture Forum. I’m meeting with them and others in a couple of weeks, and I’m having further discussions around the fringes. My message to them is that the right has a definition problem, and must seek to create the intellectual foundation for the new conservative movement. I believe National Conservatism is the basis for this.Though everyone is agreed that the liberal wing of the Tory party must be dumped, we’re just as likely to hit the rocks if all we have to stand on is reheated Thatcherism melded with intellectually barren MAGA populism. Free market radicalism is not conservatism. Thatcher was a timely antidote to the sclerosis of post-war socialism, but the modern predicament demands fresh thinking.&nbsp;As such, I’m talking about “modernisation”. That’s a pretty loaded word when it comes to conservative politics because it’s usually the weasel word of liberals who intend to ditch conservatism. But we do need a modern conservatism that speaks to nationalism, strategic protectionism and self-reliance, renewed social conservatism, and one that addresses the spiritual crisis of the modern age. One that puts national sovereignty and the sovereignty of the people first.That, though, is a topic of a much longer essay in the near future, along the lines of “What does modern conservatism look like?”. One thing’s for sure, Cameron’s “scribble tree” logo, and everything it embodies, has got to go. But returning to the point, this is about popularising a renewed conservative message. So how do we do that?Though I will always prefer the written word (because a thousand well crafted words says far more than an hour of podcasting in a fraction of the time), there is massive demand for high quality online video content. This is how people like to engage. Politics, like it or not, is a form of entertainment. YouTube lectures and debates are popular content. New Culture Forum is good at this. We need to see more of that.&nbsp;But politics is also a social pursuit. There is no movement without real human interaction. But there is also no national movement if the bulk of the social activity is in London. If we’re going relight the fires of conservatism throughout the land, then conservatism has to hit the road. We need high profile events in Huddersfield, Hull, Liverpool and Middlesbrough. We have to go where we are not traditionally wanted and remind people that true conservatism is innate to the national psyche. Lecture halls of the former polytechnics are where the new movement comes to life.&nbsp;People keep talking about setting up a new party, but in truth, that’s the last thing we need. We already have a morass of competing organisations, each of them lacking a coherent intellectual framework. We should not waste our energies advancing one over the other. We simply need to elevate the winning ideas and let them find their own path to power through critical mass. As such, we need to build the flanking organisations that will give entryists the contacts, ideas and motivation to take us back to power.&nbsp;Ultimately, the new conservatism will find its own way into the party by being the obvious remedy, providing answers where populism doesn’t. It’s all the things that could and should have been done with an eighty seat conservative majority. Our dumb politicians have created a ragbag of "make it up as we go along" hate crimes that have done away with free speech by stealth, and arranged for our "tiered" police to apply the woolly laws to decide what is a hurty word.&nbsp; Who, 10 years ago, could have imagined that "misgendering" would have consumed so much of the time and attention of nominally sane adults? We have seen that banks <a data-mce-href="https://www.change.org/p/stop-people-from-being-debanked" href="https://www.change.org/p/stop-people-from-being-debanked" target="_blank" rel="noopener">can switch off customers on what amounts to a whim and without explanation </a>- Nigel Farage is a high profile victim of one such defenestration (<a data-mce-href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage_Coutts_bank_scandal" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage_Coutts_bank_scandal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage_Coutts_bank_scandal</a>).&nbsp; Now look at the Ts and Cs of your bank, and you will generally find that they can act arbitrarily to change and remove facilities without explanation and without appeal. Banks have used credit reference agencies - notably Experian - for a long time now. Experian hoovers up every reference to businesses and individuals to create a credit scores and you have to pay to see your own stats.&nbsp; &nbsp; Cash is being phased out for the convenience of banks and large companies, where the government agenda is that cash is preferred for anonymous transactions and criminal endeavours. So you can't buy a car with a suitcase of cash - you will be assumed to be criminal and will be required to provide a detailed explanation of the source of the cash.&nbsp; &nbsp; Use of well tested cancel tactics - <a data-mce-href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Animal_Liberation_Front_actions" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Animal_Liberation_Front_actions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">refined by animal rights protesters in the 70s </a>- means that any commercial media operators and advertisers can be intimidated and controlled by activist agendas.&nbsp; &nbsp; And now the scene has been set for the introduction of a central bank digital currency where money can simply be "switched off" &nbsp; The innocuously titled <a data-mce-href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/online-safety-act-new-criminal-offences-circular/online-safety-act-new-criminal-offences-circular" href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/online-safety-act-new-criminal-offences-circular/online-safety-act-new-criminal-offences-circular" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Online Safety Act </a>also introduces new criminal offences and creates Ofcom as the regulator for online safety, granting it new powers including those required to enforce the framework. It has only been in effect since February 2024 - there is no case law or interpretation - it will be made up and tested as it goes along. &nbsp;It is difficult to underestimate the dangers UK society is facing from extremists and activist zealots who are eager to engineer and create "extreme" interpretations to assist their various causes to disrupt any individuals or organisations they disagree with. Combined with GDPR legislation there is a labyrinth of law which will be interpreted, misinterpreted and abused. &nbsp; Various road traffic and <a data-mce-href="https://www.ashmanssolicitors.com/articles/10-common-driving-offences-and-their-punishments/" href="https://www.ashmanssolicitors.com/articles/10-common-driving-offences-and-their-punishments/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">motoring laws have been accumulating incrementally</a> for over a hundred years so that anyone who drives a car is almost certain to commit at least one offence every day - probably four or more within a mile! These will tend to be perceived as "low level" issues, like a broken side lamp or a partly obscured or improperly spaced number plate. Doing 33mph in a 30mph limit is not generally considered heinous by "normal" folks, but there are a growing number of zealot/ sanctimonious police forces who will prosecute. But there’s no police any more. It’s cameras and summary convictions. Which is a matter of opinion. Examples of driving without due care and attention include undertaking, tailgating, eating while driving and changing the radio while operating a vehicle. You do not have to cause an accident – or injure anyone – to be charged with careless driving. &nbsp; Most of the time the police will "take a view" but don't count on it! If you are "pulled up" and you have done nothing that you are aware of, and you take a combative line, you will probably find that you have a tyre with marginal tread depth or a misshaped letter on your number plate ... &nbsp; So then, with a month to go, you are being warned... these nebulous laws need to be repealed along with probably 70% of the legislation enacted in the past 50 years to clear out some of the crap.
